For Sale: 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS in Allentown, Pennsylvania

Vehicle Description

1968 CHEVROLET CAMARO SS CONVERTIBLE – 396/325

The Chevrolet Camaro is a legendary American muscle car that has stood the test of time. With its powerful performance, timeless design, and thrilling driving experience, it remains a favorite among car enthusiasts. The Camaro was first shown at a press preview in Detroit on September 12, 1966, and later in Los Angeles, on September 19, 1966. The public introduction of the new model was on September 26, 1966. The Camaro officially went on sale in dealerships on September 29, 1966, for the 1967 model year.

The Camaro was created as Chevrolet’s sporty pony car of their own, that could take on the Mustang on the sales floor, racetrack, and drag strip. Like the competition from Dearborn, the Camaro offered a wide range of models, including the top-of-the-line convertible with a mighty 396 cubic inch big block. Like its cross-town pony car rival from Ford, the Chevrolet Camaro is one of the cornerstones of the collector car hobby, with vast aftermarket support and legions of loyal fans around the world.

RB Collection is pleased to offer a wonderful example of the rare and desirable 1968 Camaro SS convertible finished in original Le Mans Blue over a blue interior. This iconic example was imported from Germany from a collector who has taken meticulous care of the car for years. Fully restored in 2013, this Camaro wears a top-notch restoration, and it presents in excellent condition with exceptional paintwork, straight bodywork, and excellent panel alignment. Chrome, engine, and underneath are also exquisitely done with no negative details to be mentioned. A perfect white electric convertible top complements the exterior, bringing beauty, balance, and style to the car.

Under the hood, the 1968 Camaro is powered by a mighty 396 cubic inch (6.5-liter) V8 engine, delivering impressive horsepower and torque. This engine is mated to a smooth and responsive 3-speed automatic transmission, allowing for effortless shifting and a comfortable driving experience.

Inside, the original blue interior with bucket seats was restored to perfect condition, complementing the long list of rare and desirable accessories, like power steering, Air Conditioning, and electric convertible top.  This rare and desirable combination of features sets it apart from other similar vehicles.

This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro convertible offers a stunning combination of classic American design, raw power, and an exhilarating driving experience.
