Vehicle Description
"This much extra performance is like money in the bank. More than
you need, but how nice to know it's there. More performance at the
top end means more performance lower down. Take corvettes
327cu.-in. V8, for example. More response in every gear, the extra
surge todays highway driving often demands. The sudden snap, the
keen edge, the zest for doing all that's asked of it-with a lot
left over- that makes a great sports machine... There's one problem
with all this money in the bank though. It's no fun unless it's
yours." - Chevrolet Corvette Advertisement 1964
This 1964 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible is finished in its
original color of Silver Blue with black vinyl upholstery and is
powered by a 327 cubic inch motor mated to a four-speed manual
transmission. This Corvette features an updated stereo with a
6-disc changer, 15" knock-off style wheels, a wood steering wheel,
power assisted brakes and a factory hardtop.
Under the hood you will find a Holley carburetor sitting on top of
an aluminum manifold. The 327 cubic inch motor is identified as a
CE (replacement block) and said to be built to the specifications
of a factory 365 horsepower motor. This engine runs nicely and
pulls through the gear range with ease and power.
The Silver Blue paint shows well, but upon close inspection
checking of the paint is evident in several areas. The frame and
underside are in particularly good condition which is unusual for a
convertible of this vintage. The black vinyl convertible top as
well as the factory hard top also presents very well.
The C2 Corvettes have always been a highly desirable classic car
and here is your chance to own a well sorted example.
