1968 Chevrolet Chevelle 396 SS! This is a real SS car that has undergone a complete Frame Off, Rotisserie Restoration. Every Part, Nut & Bolt has been replaced or restored. Under the hood is a date code correct Chevrolet 396ci Big Block Mark IV V8 Engine that is connected to a Powerglide 2-Speed Automatic Transmission.
This crank & show, triple black “sleeper” is modernized with upgrades galore including a MSD Atomic Electronic Fuel Injection, Pro-Billet Distributor & 6AL Digital Box system, Vintage Air AC/Heat, Dakota Digital HDZ Dash System, Entropy 1,000 HP Cooling Radiator and Fans, Front QA1 Coil Over shocks, stainless steel fuel and return lines and too much more to list here. It should also be noted, this is a package deal. Any part that was removed to upgrade will be included in this purchase. And all original parts were new or restored when replaced. I’ve managed to keep almost all and will provide a list of those parts when ready.
One very cool feature is that this 396 SS is equipped with beautiful Black Buick Interior. During production on the assembly line, Chevrolet ran out of Chevelle interior and used Buick Interior for a small number of 1968 Chevelles, and I have the documentation to show that this interior is correct for this car!
This iconic beauty is nearly perfect and has been climate control garage kept and pampered. It has been a two-time drive-off wedding car that rolls on Cragar Mags and BFG tires and is show car ready. Want an example of how fantastic this Chevelle is? Pull up at any Valet and watch this beauty get the front parking spot over any vehicle. American Muscle rules and it’s a showstopper. Engine mileage is a combination of the original dash and the new Dakota Dash. It could be off slightly during the work and dialing in. .
