This is a very interesting 1940 Ford Two-Door Sedan Hot Rod with a
Legendary Story!!
This '40 Ford has an incredible past: Built by two teenagers in
1957, they transformed it into a racing machine over two years. It
was their pride until 1960 when one had to sell his share for
college funds.
Later, it changed hands, underwent a rebuild, and emerged as the
beauty it is today. The original owner found it unexpectedly at a
car show in 2008 and reacquired it in 2010.
Powering this legend is a very rare 1957 Desoto 345 cu in dual four
barrel Hemi V8 - the same heart that drove it when the boys
originally built it in the late 50's. They found the motor in a
junk yard out of a freshly totalled 1957 Desoto Adventurer.
Combined with a 1939 LaSalle 3-speed manual transmission, it's a
powerhouse of nostalgia and performance.
The Corvette Dark Red Metallic paint gleams as new, showing off the
laser-straight body and flawless chrome. Inside, the custom beige
leather interior adds a touch of elegance to this roaring
beast.
This '40 Ford isn't just a car; it's a living piece of history that
embodies the dreams of young car enthusiasts and the craftsmanship
of bygone eras.
It's more than a purchase; it's an opportunity to own a slice of
American automotive history. For those who appreciate the
dedication, craftsmanship, and the thrill of a hand-built speed
machine, this Ford is waiting for its next chapter in your
collection. It is a wonderful story and history reaching back into
another era!!!
