We will start off with the exterior of this Bel Air. As you walk
around the outside of it it's easy to see the countless hours that
were spent giving a near perfect fit and finish. Both the hood
doors and trunk all open and closed with ease, and we can see that
the side glass has a great fit along with the top. This 57 is
covered in Imperial Ivory paint that was redone in base coat clear
coat and has been buffed and polished to stunning finish that's
slick as ribbon. We can see that all new bumpers were installed
front and rear and that the front grill is like new as well the
rest of the Chrome and stainless on this 57 has a brilliant finish.
Down the sides of this Chevrolet or straight as an arrow which is
evidenced by all the side trim that lines up perfectly from front
to back. This 57 comes with dual antennas along with the iconic
hidden gas door. To finish off the look it's sitting on painted
steel wheels with factory style hub caps, and a set of wide white
tires.
Next, we will look at the interior of this convertible. On the
inside it's done in the iconic red and silver 2 tone color scheme
that flows perfectly with the exterior. We can see that everything
looks to have been redone at the time of the frame off restoration.
All new door panels and trim were installed along with new cranks
and handles. Both the front and rear seats were redone along with
the covers and all their side accents. Also, we can see that it has
had new carpet installed along with a new top that is power and it
comes with a red boot for when the top is down. Looking at the dash
we can see that the metal was all restored and repainted along with
the metal on the doors. All the trim and stainless on the dash is
stunning along with all the gauges that are like new and working as
they should. Inside the trunk the offer details evident as all the
medalists claimed and it has been detailed out with the spare,
jack, and trunk mat.
Finally, we will get to the heartbeat of this Chevrolet. Under the
hood it sports the same eye for detail as the inner fenders and
firewall are beautiful just like the radiator support. Everything
under the hood has been kept close to stock. The power comes from
the 283 V 8 that's set up with the '57 Model intake and Rochester 4
Jet Carb that's dressed in the factory style air cleaner. It also
has painted valve covers with the Chevrolet script. For exhaust
that has manifolds with dual pipes and the stock style mufflers the
flow out the back. The 283 V8 runs through the power glide
transmission and out back through the stock style rear end. When we
look under this Bel Air you're sure to be impressed as they did an
excellent job with the frame off restoration. All new brake and
fuel lines were installed along with a new gas tank. The floor pans
are all beautiful and detailed out in the red oxide primer and have
had new body bushings installed. The frame is all solid as well and
shows no signs of abuse. All the suspension is in excellent
condition as well with new bushings installed for the control arms
along with new ball joints. On the highway you couldn't ask for
better running and cruising 57 Bel Air convertible. If you're in
