Gorgeous body off frame restoration that was completed over a 5
year span and finished in 2022. Pictures speak a thousand words,
and we have a binder of them documenting the entire build! This
Impala's got it going on. 383 stroker with dual quads, 5 speed
Tremec, posi, air conditioning, genuine leather interior and much
more.
EXTERIOR: The fit and finish is excellent! Over $15,000 worth of
new sheet metal and panels was used for the restoration meaning
this car is completely rust free. Painted in a very rich Victory
Red that looks amazing with all the stainless trim and chrome.
Speaking of the trim it has a bunch of it! Optional bumper and door
handle guards, rocker moldings, fuel door trim, dual bowtie mirrors
and even a spotlight. The trim is new and the bumpers were chromed
and sparkle like new. All new glass was ordered and installed along
with the weather stripping. All the SS machined turned trim looks
new and really compliments the style of this 63. It's stanced
beautifully on 15" polished American Racing Torque Thrust wheels
with like new BF Goodrich tires.
INTERIOR: Immaculate new interior. Taking a look at the door
panels, they look stock, however they've been handmade and are
genuine leather. That's right, an all new leather interior from a
custom upholstery shop was installed. Talk about taking things the
extra mile. The padded dash looks new, and the lower portion is
painted nicely in gloss black. It has a factory tachometer on the
driver side, spotlight hand control, and a gorgeous woodgrain sport
steering wheel. Vintage A/C controls are installed as well as a
Retro Sound audio with Bluetooth. The original center console sits
in the middle with a Hurst shifter and 5-spd white shift knob. All
the carpeting is new and fits very nicely. The front and rear seats
are recushioned and reupholstered with genuine leather.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Under the hood sits a monster 383 stroker with
dual quads. The owner claimed once all 8 barrels are opened up it
makes 600HP. It has aluminum heads with roller rockers, Edelbrock
intake, and dual Edelbrock carbs. Hooker long tube headers are
connected to the motor. CPP upgraded power steering, CPP power
brakes were added as well. The Vintage Air works like a dream. A
larger corvette 7 blade clutch fan was used for the higher hp
motor. All the hoses and wiring is nice and tidy. Someone spent
some time making sure this car was show worth everywhere you
look.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and jambs are painted gloss
red, and new weather stripping was installed. The entire trunk was
completely painted gloss red instead of a spatter paint. It has a
new carpeted mat cut to fit precisely and is Velcroed in so you can
remove it to clean when needed. It gives the trunk a very clean,
visually appealing look. Mounted nicely on the upper deck is a
spare wheel and tire.
UNDERSIDE: Stunning body off the frame restoration. Everything is
new. The front independent suspension consists of CPP tubular
control arms, CPP power steering, and new CCP shocks/springs. The
power brakes are CCP disc in the front and drum in the rear. All
new fuel and brake lines were installed, as well as a new stainless
steel gas tank. The dual exhaust is new and has dual mufflers.
Looking up at the motor and trans they are extra clean. It has a
Moroso extra capacity oil pan and high torque starter. It has a new
Tremec TKO 5-spd transmission with a heavy duty scatter shield. The
rear end is a new Auburn posi-traction with 3.73 gears. All new
floors, and trunk were installed. The x frame was completely redone
in gloss black epoxy.
SERVICE: Our shop inspection included. Replacing the speedo and
gears. Replaced the tachometer, adjusted carbs and timing, repaired
brake lights, replaced rear axle seal, and installed new e brake
cables.
This Super Sport has everything you want and then some. Someone
spent 5 years taking this car down to a bare shell and completely
rebuilding it; now you get to enjoy his efforts!
