For some time now, Joe Basil Chevrolet has painstakingly strived to

sales since 1951. Still another of these vehicles is this the 1969
Dodge Coronet Super Bee we present here today for your
consideration.
In the late 1960s and early 1970s, many of our young soldiers were
returning to the states and striving to leave specific memories
behind them. In an effort to accomplish this, many of them chose to
purchase a vehicle that not only displayed great style but also had
the ability to become an extension of the new owner's personality.
Though the super stock era was well under way with huge engines
placed in what were otherwise full sized sedans, Chrysler saw the
need to take the next step. By the late 1960s, to accommodate the
needs of our younger generation, more personalized "muscle " cars
were entered into the mix. Among these Chrysler offered the
Roadrunner, Cuda, GTX, Challenger R/T, and the Dodge Coronet Super
Bee.
This stunning 1969 Dodge Super Bee is a fine example of one of
those muscle cars.
At first glance, it is evident that this beauty is a no nonsense
entry. The intimidating front end with the "snout" appearance and
twin functional hood scoops command your immediate attention.
Further review reveals the boldly stated super bee stripes
accenting the Performance Red paint and the BFGoodrich white letter
tires mounted on chrome Magnum 500 wheels. This car has a super
clean Lazer straight body and has won multiple trophies! Out back,
you quickly note the menacing dual port exhaust tips and that
animated super bee just beyond the Dodge name plate suggesting that
this is a very specialized build.
The white vinyl bench seat interior is original and nicely
contrasts with the Performance Red exterior while matching the
rears exterior stripe. The interior is in excellent condition,
especially considering the age, and features a hurst T-handle floor
shifter which operates the four-speed transmission and directs the
power from the stout 383ci! The 383 produced 335hp from the
factory, but has been completely redone featuring a roller cam,
Edelbrock intake manifold, Hooker headers, and more, turning it
into the animal it is today! You cant beat the sound of this car...
The power is put down through an 8 � rear end, with 3.55 gears.
Additional performance goodies include the manual ram air lever
under the dash that allows fresh air to enter directly into the
engine through the twin scoops when activated. Further upgrades
include the factory in dash tick tock tack and Rallye instrument
cluster package. The iconic Dodge Coronet Super Bee is one of the
most sought after Performance muscle cars of its time and this one,
which is in stunning condition, will definitely make your heart
