Vehicle Description
In the world of muscle cars, so often, the Ford Mustang and
Chevrolet Camaro monopolize the hearts and minds of potential
buyers much like Coca-Cola or Pepsi does in the world of soft
drinks. But that doesn't mean there aren't a few better options out
there to quench your thirst for hydration, or speed. Take this
beautiful and very white 1999 Pontiac Trans Am convertible we have
for you here. Looking almost as new as it did rolling off the
factory line, this Firebird has just 66,732 miles on the
odometer.
Under the hood sits GM's mighty 5.7-liter LS1 aluminum small block
V8. In Trand Am configuration, this car makes 305 hp and 335 lb-ft
of torque on paper but can be modified to make a lot more power
with basics like simply removing the intake silencer or adding a
sweet-sounding catback exhaust to let the motor breathe a little
easier.
That power is funneled through a stout 4L60E four-speed automatic
transmission on its way to a 3.27:1 rear axle, and finally on to a
set of 16-inch rims shod in 245/50R-16 rubber out back (and front).
As a more modern muscle car, this Trans Am is graced with such
amenities as power steering, power brakes, power windows, power
door locks, and the all-important power top.
Much like the exterior, inside the same Arctic White color code is
used for the leather seats and door trim. And unlike today's
distracting movie theater-sized electronic screens, this 1999 Trans
Am's only digital offerings are the odometer and Monsoon stereo
display. Aside from that, plenty of analog buttons, switches and
HVAC controls take the aggravation of operating basic functions
while driving.

This fourth-generation F-Body represents the last version of the
Firebird Pontiac produced, and the 1999 variant also happens to be
the 30th anniversary of the Trans Am. While this car isn't an
actual Anniversary Edition, a WS6 hood, a set of frosted blue
wheels, hood stripes, and some requisite badging could turn this
Trans Am into an Anniversary Edition replica for a fraction of the
cost. Whatever you decide to do with this 1999 Pontiac Trans Am
convertible, it shows you march to just a slightly different beat
than the mainstream Mustang and Camaro pony car parade. And don't
get us wrong, Coke and Pepsi are popular for a reason, but
sometimes what you really need is a Dr. Pepper or Mountain Dew in
the form of a long-slung, monstrously aggressive, wonderfully white
Firebird Trans Am. Don't pass this one up, call today!!!
