Vehicle Description
Some cars are pretty, some cars are fun, and some cars just have an
unabashed attitude, and they're damn proud of it. While this 1990
Ford Mustang GT is good-looking, it doesn't have the sleek, sinuous
lines of an Italian exotic, and it doesn't care. The two-tone
Crystal Blue Metallic and Titanium Silver hatchback sits poised for
a fight on its independent front- and four-link rear suspension.
The adjustable Koni shocks at both the front and rear combined with
its Eibach Pro Kit riding on 17-inch wheels shod in 235/45ZR-17
front and 275/40ZR-17 rear BF Goodrich rubber, give this Pony Car
the perfect stance from any angle. From its trademark deck spoiler
to its tell-tale louvered taillights, the legendary 5.0 badge only
hints at the monster that lies beneath its hood.
In stock trim, the original 5.0 Mustang GT V-8 produced a (then)
impressive 225 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque. But this
particular 5.0 has been sent back to the proverbial gym and came
out the other side a fire-breathing hulk. Bored and stroked, the
302 CID engine became a 331 cubic-inch beast. Topped with Trickflow
170 heads and an Anderson B-31 cam at its heart, this engine would
be stout enough with just those goodies alone. But, with the
addition of a Vortech V3 supercharging kit, this Mustang is ready
to take on all Challengers... or Chargers. According to the
included DynoJet readout, this beast put down 497 horsepower and
487 pound-feet of torque at the wheels!
That heavy-breathing motor sends those ponies through a set of long
tube headers and out through a FlowMaster dual exhaust. But all the
power in the world is useless if it doesn't make it to the ground.
Stock 5.0s had a propensity for causing the original T5
transmission to grenade with one too many burnouts. Luckily, this
car is able to bypass those issues thanks to an upgraded Tremec
TKO600 five-speed manual transmission.
Climb into the almost completely stock-looking, and pristine cabin,
and the only outliers you might notice are the custom amps and
subwoofers taking up the majority of the truck as well as the
A-pillar-mounted boost gauge staring back at you ready to play. If
you have never heard the glorious sound of a true 5.0 Mustang V-8
rumble through a FlowMaster exhaust, it is a sound like nothing
else in the automotive world. Don't miss out on one of life's
greatest pleasures. Call now!
