Chevrolet two-door Bel Air. The Bel Air nameplate had a long
successful run from 1950-1975. Sold as a full-size model with many
different model variations and trim levels. By 1953 the Bel Air
name was designated as a premium model. The 1953-54 Bel Air
received a complete body facelift. The 1954 Bel Air was offered in
five body styles including wagons, two-doors, four-doors, and a
convertible. Only one engine, a 233 cubic inch I6 was available
with either a standard or automatic transmission. The 1954
Chevrolet Bel Air took the market by storm with over one million
units soldThis 1954 Chevrolet Bel Air two-door is painted in green
metallic with ghost flames. Shiny chrome trim, chrome five-spoke
wheels, and period whitewall tires adds to this Chevys unique
appearance. The interior complements the exterior with its
white/green color scheme. Interior features include full carpeting,
electric wipers, seatbelts, factory radio, three spoke green custom
steering wheel, and an aftermarket tach. Under the hood is a 233
cubic inch in-line six with dual carbs attached to a column shift
three-speed manual transmission.
