Gateway Classic Cars of San Antonio/Austin is super excited to
present this 1978 GMC Sierra C15 "Heavy Half". Although the "Square
Body" Chevrolet pickups produced by General Motors from 1973-1987
have become quite common at such events, it is still unusual to
find examples of their upscale GMC counterparts. One rare GMC
example that makes the difference is this 1978 Sierra Classic
"Heavy Half" edition featured here. The GMC is the "Heavy Half"
model, which is the less often seen trim that is effectively the
same as Chevy's "Big 10" moniker, but quite a bit more rare.
Powered by a 454 CID V8 that is teamed up to a 4-speed automatic,
power options such as power windows, power door locks, power
steering & power brakes and a cold blowing A/C, this Square Body
GMC is a super good looking truck! It is believed (but not
documented) that this was a 1 owner truck before the current owner
took it out of OK, and the 62,149 miles on the odometer is believed
to be correct, but again, cannot be documented. The overall
condition of this 1978 GMC Sierra Classic "Heavy Half" speaks for
itself.
