For Sale: 2002 Chevrolet Camaro in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

This is one of the rarest, most desirable Camaros built, it is considered a Supercar! These were ordered as B4C police cars under the COPO program through GM then sent to GMMG for final completion of the ZL-1 Phase III build. 1 of 69 built and only 37 were taken to Phase lll specs. This ZL-1 is sitting at 413 actual miles! The original 1969 Zl-1s now bring over half a million dollars if you can find one. These modern ZL-1s were built in homage to the original and were instant collector items.

EXTERIOR: This Camaro is in showroom condition on the outside. The colors are amazing and the paint is immaculate. The stripe package is part of the ZL1 program. Special emblems and tags have been placed around the exterior. Sitting on it's original 18 inch Crager SS wheels which are wrapped in F1 Supercar tires. Upfront it has a unique grill with a1969 style bowtie emblem and it has fog lamps. In back is the integrated spoiler. Factory ZL-1 #55 decals placed from new are still on the windshield and back of the rear view mirror.

INTERIOR: The white leather interior is stunning against the blue exterior. It is practically still new. It has special ZL-1 embroidery on the seats and an emblem on the dash brags about the engine's power. The white face gauges also have the ZL-1 Supercar callout. This features a Hurst 6-speed short throw shifter with a white ball. The convertible roof button in the center console actually opens and closes electric cutouts in the exhaust. It's full of the power accesories including the seat. It also has the premium Monsoon stereo system.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Under the hood you'll find nothing quite like it! The Phase III package gave you the C5R racing 427ci engine pushing 600hp and 575 lbs of torque! The aluminum GM engine block was $6,000 by itself and designed for racing with a much stronger build. It is 12:1 compression, has Callies 4340 forged crank, Callies 4340 forged connecting rods, JE lightweight pistons with file fit rings, CNC ported LS6 heads,an engraved Wilson ZL-1 manifold, 1 7/8" long tube ceramic coated headers, carbon fiber air box with ZL1 phase III decal, Hi-flow MAF and under drive pulleys. The engine bay has been autographed by other ZL-1 owners, GMMG Inc builders, and Berger Chevrolet where this car was ordered new!

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Pop the rear hatch and you'll find the Zl1 Car cover still in a bag, A nice labeled binder filled with full documentation, A nice sign display for car shows, and the original floor mats embroidered with ZL1 logos still in the plastic!

UNDERSIDE: Underneath is immaculate. The upgrades continue. It has the 1LE control arms and pan hard bar, GMMG adjustable Penske Shocks, eibach lowering springs and special swaybars. Killer custom stianless exhust. It has a pipe that looks twice as big as the driveshaft with an electric dump, then it leads to dual chambered pipes and exits poilshed tips. In order to stop all this power it is equipped with Corvette ZO6 vented disc brakes. Looking up at the motor it is all aluminum with a high torque starter. the manual 6-speed trans sends power to a 4:10 posi rear.

I know why it literlly says Supercar, it is! The rarity, the story, the performance and the looks make this a Supercar. Better than money in the bank.
