The Jeep CJ-8 Scrambler was a long wheelbase version of the CJ-7.
The wheelbase of the CJ-8 was extended to 103 inches and featured a
pick-up style box behind the seats. Introduced in 1981 and
manufactured through 1986, fewer than 28,000 units were produced
and are few and far between today. This 1985 Jeep CJ-8 Scrambler is
a fully restored example of this rare Jeep. The body was refinished
in Saxon Yellow w/ Black Cloth buckets with a custom locking center
console. All body and floor pans are solid and the fiberglass cab
roof is removable. This Scrambler is powered by an AMC workhorse
4.2L Inline-6 mated to a 4-speed manual. The transmission is
driving a 2WD/4WD/Hi-Lo Dana 300 transfer case and front manual
hubs. The chassis is equipped with power steering, power front
discs, front and rear leaf spring suspension, new HD shocks, and a
steering stabilizer. The CJ-8 also has air conditioning, new
American Racing Wheels, new Goodyear rubber, and a Fish Bone
offroad front bumper with driving lamps. This Jeep CJ-8 is a rare
collectible ready for summer fun!
