FANTASTIC 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454!!! We, at VELOCE MOTORS -
THE VAULT, are a high-end auto storage facility & event venue. On
occasion, our clients request for us to assist them with an
acquisition of a specialty vehicle or the sale of one of theirs.
This car was purchased by The Vault's Storage Member in 2002 who
restored the car to a very high level. The car competed its
restoration with one of the best repaints in 2009 & has been loved
by the owner since. An electric fuel pump was installed in
September 2023 - replacing the original style mechanical pump. It
is believed that this is a true numbers matching example based on
the information we have at hand. All stampings, vin, chassis
numbers appear to add up to an authentic 454 SS with an automatic
transmission. Without having the actual order forms from new, there
is virtually no way to 100% verify its authenticity - but it is
very evident this is a period correct car with no known history of
having its engine or transmission replaced. Classic Copper Paint
with White Stripes - as it left the Los Angeles assembly plant.
Rebuilt 454 Cubic Inch, 365 HP V8 that was bored & sleeved 30mm by
the previous owner. Rebuilt Turbo 400 3-Speed Automatic with floor
console shifter. Original Intake Manifold with Rebuilt Original
Rochester 4-Barrel Carburetor. Replacement Chrome Valve Covers.
Original Air Cleaner Assembly with Original Decals. Cowl Induction
Hood with "Flapper" at trailing edge. Factory Air Conditioning.
Replacement Radiator. Replacement Alternator. Replacement Starter.
Replacement 2 5/16 Inch Exhaust System with Chrome Tips. Rebuilt
Front & Rear Suspension. New Bushings, Shock Absorbers, Coil
Springs. Heavy Duty Front & Rear Anti-Sway Bars. Frame was
Repainted in Flat Black. Original SS Steering Wheel. Replacement
Upper/Lower Dash & Gauges. Original Dash Accompanies The Car.
Integrated Radio Antenna in Windshield. Original Delco AM/FM Radio
with Speaker in the upper center dash. Added "Secret Audio"
Controller & Amplifier. Replacement Original Style Headliner and
Rear Package Tray. Replacement Interior Rear View Mirror.
Replacement Original Style Door Panels. Replacement Original Style
Carpet Throughout. Two Sets of Floor Mats. Rechromed Front & Rear
Bumpers. Rally Style Wheels. This is a MUST SEE car. One of the
