This 1997 Pontiac Firehawk was a muscle car option to the standard
Formula model. Factory built Formula models were shipped to Street
Legal Performance (SLP) in Tom's River NJ to be fitted with
Firehawk upgrades including an air-induction hood, badging, 17"
Firehawk alloy wheels and HD suspension components. This Firebird
Formula is said to be #62 of the 119 Firehawks built by SLP in 1997
and was equipped with the CompT/A performance option package. (A
listing of all options is shown on the Data Plate /Sticker mounted
on the driver door frame.) The original 2-stage Artic White finish
is in very good condition and accented with Firehawk trim, a full
rear spoiler and Firehawk alloy wheels that mount Z-rated
performance radials. It is equipped The Firehawk Ram Air hood is a
functional air induction system. The original Light Grey leather
interior is in very good condition. Convenience features include
A/C, power tinted windows, cruise, power locks, and tilt wheel.
Other features include dual front airbags, keyless entry/alarm
system and a 10-speaker premium GM Monsoon AM/FM/Cassette sound
system w/12-disc CD changer. Horsepower is furnished by what is
said to be the matching numbers 5.7L LT-1 HO V8 w/MFI injection
that is said to have never required a rebuild. Depending on tune,
these motors produced 285-315bhp. It is backed by a 6-speed Borg
Warner wide-ratio manual transmission w/Hurst shifter that delivers
torque to a positraction differential w/3.42:1 gears. The chassis
is equipped with 4-wheel power disc brakes, Firehawk Touring
suspension w/Torsen handling package, front/rear sway bars, Hotckis
shock-tower brace and a low restriction exhaust. This '97 Formula
Firehawk is a serious, agile Poncho muscle car. ALL VEHICLES SOLD
