For Sale: 1971 Chevrolet C10 in Macedonia, Ohio

Vehicle Description

Extremely clean southern truck. Desirable 4x2 long bed. Strong-running 350 cubic inch V8 with fresh Tremec 5-speed manual transmission. Nice cloth interior, upgraded tilt steering column with billet wheel, and more. Just a clean old Chevy ready to enjoy! We like trucks like this 1971 Chevrolet C10 that deliver exactly what's promised: clean, no-nonsense practicality with a little bit of fun on the side. This particular truck hails from Alabama, so there are no issues with rust or rot in any critical areas and you can see just how clean it really is with a glance underneath. It has been repainted at some point in the not-too-distant past and the sheetmetal underneath is in very good condition. Those giant bed sides are laser-straight, the doors fit quite well, and the gaps are very good all around. There's no evidence that it has ever been hit or wrecked and even the bed looks like it never really had to work for a living. Someone clearly took care of this truck. There's a grille from a different model up front, but otherwise the exterior is quite stock, leaving you with a clean, no-nonsense truck or a blank canvas to do something truly amazing. It's also been outfitted with fresh chrome bumpers that add a little sparkle as well as a fitted tonneau cover that keeps your gear out of the elements. No surprises, just a clean old truck. The interior is equally well-presented with a fresh cloth seat cover, rubber floor mat, and factory-style door panels. A custom billet tilt steering column and matching wheel add a little flash and a lot of comfort, but otherwise it's pretty much 1971 basic in there. Factory gauges cover the basics and they're still some of the best-looking dials in any pickup truck, ever. The radio isn't working, but that's OK because it's just an AM unit, but it looks right there in the dash. And if you look closely at that shifter, it carries a vintage-looking knob that now reflects the 5-speed gearbox underneath. That's a nice addition! The dash pad has surely been replaced as well, simply because it's in excellent condition, and the painted headliner means no issues there later. It's just a very nicely maintained and sensibly upgraded old pickup. The 350 cubic inch V8 under the hood provides plenty of muscle to make the truck fun to drive and capable of moving some pretty big stuff. There's a 4-barrel carburetor up top, an aluminum intake manifold, and an HEI distributor to light it up reliably. A big aluminum radiator keeps it cool effortlessly and all the belts and hoses are recent, so it's ready to rock. There's also a modern dual master cylinder and power brake booster for the front disc brakes, which are also recent. It starts easily, idles nicely, and doesn't hassle you-it just works like it's supposed to. The newly installed Tremec 5-speed manual transmission transforms the old truck's personality, giving it great reflexes around town but a deep overdrive gear for relaxed highway cruising. It works perfectly with the 3.73 gears out back, so it feels quick but never over-geared. You'll also note that the underside is extremely clean with no issues in the usual places thanks to a lifetime down south. The dual exhaust system uses glasspack-style mufflers for a mellow V8 burble and there are fresh shocks all around that make the ride as good as it can be. New chrome wheels sparkle against the white paint and carry staggered 235/70/15 front and 275/60/15 rear blackwall radials for a bit of an attitude. Documentation includes the original owner's manual. We get a lot of clean old pickups, but this one appeals to us because it has just the right upgrades to make it easy to drive in today's world. The bodywork is super clean, the interior is comfortable, and with an 8-foot bed, it's still ready, willing, and able to do some pretty big jobs. Old trucks are the Swiss Army knives of the old car hobby, so if you need a toy that's also a little practical, this is a great choice. Call today!
