$5,000 PRICE REDUCTION. VEHICLE WILL BE AVAILABLE UNTIL 10/30/2011, AT WHICH TIME IT WILL BE TAKEN OFF THE MARKET.
1987 Monte Carlo SS Aero Coupe. This is the car that Dale Earnhardt Sr. won at Daytona for three straight years. The slanted rear window represented the beginning of aerodynamic race cars! There were 6052 Aero Coupes produced in 1987, of which approximately 243 had T-Tops.
This car was purchased in Texas and had 2 owners there. Sold at auction and relocated to Louisiana in 2002. The LA owner did a beautiful partial restoration, to include new factory match paint and a new, upgraded interior. He moved to Florida, became ill and sold the car to Ted Vernon Specialty Autos. I purchased the car from Ted in 2005 and immediately had the car gone over by a certified mechanic and had the car fully serviced. The idler arm and rear brakes were replaced at that time. The engine Purrs like a tiger. An all around Elderbrock air cleaner sits on top of the original Rochester Quadrajet. The 305 HO is coupled to a 4 speed OD Automatic Tranny and a 3.73 posi rear. The Water Pump, Alternator, Starter and Fuel Pump were replaced this year. The car is driven on a regular but limited basis to keep well lubricated and functional. The Odometer reads 55679, but is not verifiable. The car comes with the original Owners Manual, T-Top Protective Sleeves and original Air Cleaner. Also included is the Chevy Technical Publication for the 87 Monte Carlo and a full car cover. The car has been garaged since I have owned it. I had the original radio completely refurbished by Reflections Audio in Miami and added Sony 3-Way speakers. The working factory A/C had the Freon replaced with 134-A. The car was just serviced and ready to drive away or ship. Last chance to buy before she becomes an antique in 2012.
Reasonable offers will be considered.
