1973 Was the final year for the first generation Mustang, even
though styling had rapidly changed from the first few years of
production. With the oil crisis in full effect and the federal
government wanting their hands in everything including safety and
styling of privately owned automobile manufacturers, it was during
this time that cars grew in comparison to years previous with the
evolution of the safety bumpers and decreased horse power.
However, some might argue that the 73 Mustang was the last of the
muscle and managed to hold on to their dignity with these great
cars.
This particular car is restored and finished in "J" Code or
"Grabber Blue". The interior is original to the car and still shows
very well. The top is also original including the rear glass,
however the top is now showing signs of age and could be replaced
to make this beauty complete. This is a true California car that is
ready to be enjoyed with nothing needed. It starts, runs and goes
down the road very nicely.
The underside is in great condition, the car starts, runs and
drives perfectly and will make someone a great driver or with a
couple things done could be a great show car candidate.
