Vehicle Description

1967 Pontiac Firebird Convertible

The Mercury Cougar was first introduced in 1967 and shared a platform with the Mustang. Well GM did the same with the Pontiac Firebird which was introduced 1967 as well to join the pony car ranks and compete along side the Camaro. The name came from the General Motors Firebird which was a very space age inspired group of prototypes released in the 50's. With its pointed nose, dual grill openings and slotted tail lights the design was incredibly unique and makes the vintage Firebirds very recognizable. This very nice 1967 Firebird Convertible is a unique car in that it has belonged to a since family since being purchased new. It definitely falls in that survivor category because outside of regular maintenance it has been kept completely original. There are 48,200 miles on the odometer which is original. It has nice Gold paint paired with a Black convertible cloth top. In exchange of the standard front bumper these cars adopted a very cool fully chromed front nose with looks great. All of the original stainless trim is nicely mounted in place and it's all there. The headlights, turn signals, and brake lights all work properly. The car sits on its original wheels with the correct PMD hubcaps wrapped with Road Hugger Radial G/T tires.

Pop the hood and you will see its original 326 c.i. V8 motor sitting in place. Every thing in the engine compartment is how it was from the factory. The motor is fitted with a 2 barrel carburetor topped off with the single snorkel air cleaner. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly with no issues and sends power back to the original rear end. The suspension/brakes are all the stock set up and it was ordered with factory power steering. The car starts up and runs well with no smoking or problems.

The interior is the stock Black upholstery and in good condition. It has its original bucket seats with factory center console. The seat belts clip onto the console when not in use and it provides additional storage space and houses the chrome T-handle shifter. The dash is painted Black and the Black dash pad is in good shape. It features all of its original stock components throughout and all the gauges work correctly. The trunk is all solid with a solid pan. It houses a spare and the car also comes with a Black parade boot and a car cover.

This very cool Firebird has a lot going for it especially considering it was 1 family owned. That means we know where the car has been its whole life. With its low mileage and originality this survivor checks a lot of boxes and would be a great classic convertible for someone to enjoy.
