For Sale: 1972 Chevrolet Corvette in Concord, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

If you're a fan of big power and presence in your Stingray, then you know this 1972 Chevrolet Corvette convertible has all the best features. After all, 454 big block power, four-on-the-floor, and the growl of side pipes are what high-octane dreams are made of... but there's more happening here. It's also a true red-blooded American with its number-matching motor and trans to be the power car that's also an esteemed classic.

We all love a red Corvette, and the factory-correct Mille Miglia Red adds even more panache with a race-worthy name. This is the right year for lovers of the classic American sports car. It has the commanding look of a long front end where the power is created; plenty of curves emphasize the 15-inch Rally wheels; and a sleek rear with the spoiler nicely integrated. And there are great brightwork elements, like the pointed shark-like front bumper, two-piece rear bumper, polished rockers, and a luggage rack. So it makes for a sharp-looking car. But it also never loses its road-ready attitude. After all, the power dome hood and the side pipes signal that this has the muscle and thunder for serious fun.

We like the white roof because it has the same Americana feel as a Coca-Cola bottle. But we like it even better when you take it down because the red interior is truly district against the paint. And the trim tag tells us the full red-blooded package came this way from the factory. This is about looking good while keeping its driver-ready nature at its heart. That includes an interior built around you with high-back bucket seats, a grippy three-spoke sports steering wheel, and a large speedo and tach directly in front of it. The center section houses some of the best details, like the full auxiliary readouts and the bright stick shift. Plus, there are nice cruising features like a tilt steering column, retro-style AM/FM stereo, and power steering.

Under the hood is the look of proper big block power. This is a 454 cubic inch V8 motor, the numbers-matching unit! It inhales deeply with a four-barrel carburetor, and we can't stress how much we love the tune as this exhales through those side pipes. The four-speed manual transmission is also the numbers-matching unit, giving you confidence and control over this full power package. This is a terrific driver with the Corvette's fully independent sports suspension and four-wheel disc brakes. And everything from newer bushings to wide Cooper Cobra tires gives this a proper sports car confidence on the streets.

The sale comes complete with maintenance records and service manuals. This is the full-red numbers-matching big block Stingray drop-top you always wished was out there. So don't let this one slip away. Call now!
