Vehicle Description
1989 Pontiac Nascar Car was purchased from a road racer friend in
2009. The car had been retired from the Gary Sutton Atlanta Motor
Speedway Driving School. I never confirmed that the car was raced
in a Cup race however after speaking with multiple people about the
car I located some numbers on the body which pointed me in a
direction. The car is a stretch nose Pontiac which was a
modification allowed by Nascar in the 89' season due to the aero
advantage that the other manufactures had. The car was an
intermediate and superspeedway car and has a 110 wheelbase. From my
discovery I think the car was a backup car for the Buddy Baker
Crisco team that year. However that is speculation. I restored the
car and decaled it as a 89' Rusty Walllace Replica. I originally
purchased the car to restore and run in the HSCRS. Visit Steel City
