Gateway Classic Cars of San Antonio/Austin is pleased to present
this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro finished in Frost Green. First
generation Camaros are highly sought after, and with 1969 being the
final year of Gen1 production, they represent the pinnacle of
Chevrolet's first generation of Pony Cars. For 1969, the Camaro
received all-new sheet metal (except for the hood and trunk), which
served to give the car a substantially sportier look. The grille
was redesigned with a heavy "V" angle, and the headlights were
given a new recessed position. New door skins, rear quarter panels,
and rear valance panel also gave the car a much lower, wider, and
more aggressive look. Rather than taking the "beast mode" path,
this one's powered by the ever reliable, but still quote potent,
350CID V8 which the owner states was rebuilt in 2020 with minor
upgrades such as Vintage air, long-tube Hedman headers and a Holley
carburetor. Power is handled by a freshly rebuilt 350 automatic
transmission connected to a 12bolt PosiTrac rear end with 3.31
gears. Chrome-finished 15" wheels are mounted with 215/60 front and
225/70 rear BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires. The cabin features front
bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in black vinyl with
color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Additional interior
amenities include a floor shifter, an AM/FM stereo, front lap
belts, and Camaro-branded floor mats. The Rosewood-rimmed
three-spoke steering wheel fronts a clock flanked by a 120-mph
speedometer and a fuel gauge. An aftermarket tachometer is mounted
on the steering column and an oil pressure and air temperature
gauge are mounted under the center stack. The five-digit odometer
shows 5k miles since the rebuild, although true mileage is unknown.
This is the kind of vehicle that we dreamed about in your younger
years & now, here it sits!
