Vehicle Description
This 1986 Chevrolet El Camino represents one of the final years for
the legend. So a well-presented and affordable example is always a
terrific find. And when you learn it has a loaded A/C interior, an
overdrive transmission, and solid numbers-matching V8 power, you
really start to think of just how much you can enjoy this
Chevy.
These final generation El Caminos seem to stay in demand because
they have one of the sportiest designs of any generation. The
unibody car/truck look looks particularly nice with the way the
rear pillar can take the time to flow down into the bed behind it.
And the rear looks like a pure custom machine with the frenched
license plate, tail lights in the bumper, and the way the tailgate
almost seamlessly wraps into the overall design. And while this is
a true classic, it also likes to remain useful. So you have a thick
bed mat, bed rails, and a proper tow hitch. In fact, the overall
theme feels like a vintage Chevy that also likes to be driven and
enjoyed. So you get a stock and clean style with the body lines,
dark blue paint, factory wheels, and chrome bumpers. All of it has
a pleasant driver-ready style so that you could basically be taking
this El Camino out every day. And when you do, you just know every
classic fan who has to settle for a crossover will be jealous when
they see you.
The loaded interior reminds you that this is a truck with sedan
levels of comfort. The pillow-top cloth seating is amazingly plush.
You can choose to seat three across or fold down the armrest for
individual comfort for two. You have all the best factory features
like power windows, power locks, cruise control, and cold-blowing
air conditioning. You may choose to upgrade to a modern stereo or
update a few trim pieces, but from day one it feels quite inviting
and it's also set up to be a nice driver. You have factory features
like a tilt steering column and round gauges with tach. And there's
also a nice full set of auxiliary readouts to keep you better
informed.
Under the hood is exactly what you want to see. It's the
numbers-matching 305 cubic-inch V8. We love these small-block
powerhouses because of how hardy they are. So while it already has
an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, it's exceptionally easy to
upgrade and source parts if you want to take it further to the next
level. But we already like this one for the way it represents a
solid cruiser. It fires up readily, idles smoothly, and makes a
smooth tune from the newer exhaust. It's a smooth runner that's set
up to be an easy all-day cruiser with features such as power
steering, power brakes, front discs, and a four-speed automatic
transmission with highway-friendly overdrive.
Complete with owner's manual, this is a true cruiser and a true
classic. So you know you want to hit the road in this final-gen El
Camino. Call today!!!
