There are not too many El Caminos that have received a complete frame off restoration and this Viper Red beauty is a great example of excellent workmanship combined with quality components to produce an eye catching show car. Built on the Chevelle chassis, this bad boy boasts a strong Chevy 350 posi-traction gearing. The exterior, as well as engine compartment and underbody, features a high quality multi-coat paint with clear coat to a mirror shine appearance. 1971 featured a new front end with the introduction of 7" headlights, bars and stripes grill, integral wrap around front driving and signal lights and rear marker and stop lights. Customization includes a large hood cowl and emblems and minor bright work removed, 18" chrome t-star wheels with low profile tires and dual chrome side exhaust. Drop the tailgate and you'll find the bed floor covered with a nicely fitted/sculptured "leather" pad. The underside sheet metal and frame shows the same attention to detail you would expect in a show car. Jet Hot coated long tube headers with stainless exhaust system and chromed transmission cover. All stainless fasteners were used throughout. The engine is fitted with Carbon Fiber valve covers and air cleaner, ceramic coated headers, electric cooling fan, chrome accessory belt drive and radiator cover. The interior features custom red and black high grade leather wrapped bucket seats with matching hand stitched leather steering wheel and custom covered dashboard. The original dash has been up-fitted with custom Auto Meter gauges, AM/FM stereo and CD player.
