My dad bought this car about 40 years ago and has been in the garage most of those years. Him and I rebuilt the engine when he bought it and it had around 85,000 miles on it at the time. Skylark Specials were only made from 1961-1964 and the majority of them had 6 cylinders. However, this one has a 215 Aluminum V8 engine which was only made from 1961-1963. The body is in decent shape but there are some rusted out spots in the trunk and on the passenger side floor board. This is a unique car and I would like to get it sold to someone that would restore it, as that is what my dad would have liked to happen to it. My dad last drove it about 25 years ago before he parked it in his garage. I recently put a new battery in it and it turns over great but I'm not able to get spark yet.
