Vehicle Description
STK 3379 1940 Chevrolet Street Rod
The 1940 Chevrolet is a great platform for a modern street rod.
This robust 2-door sedan is a very compelling example. The Chevy
received a complete restoration (1996) with a broad range of
mechanical enhancements. The all-steel sedan was the beneficiary of
a 2-stage respray that is in outstanding condition. All chrome is
very nice and 15" aluminum alloys mount Michelin radial tires. A
luxurious interior features beautiful grey cloth upholstery, air
conditioning, a wood/alloy tilt-wheel and quality carpeting. The
stylish dashboard incorporates a full set of Classic Instrument
gauges and all electrics have been upgraded to a 12V
alternator-based system w/rear battery. The rear storage area has
also upholstered/carpeted. Horsepower is supplied by a new 350ci GM
crate motor. The small block is equipped with a polished Edelbrock
aluminum intake and 4-barrel carburetor, mild cam, headers and
free-flowing exhaust. Behind the nicely dressed powerplant sits a
GM 3-speed automatic transmission. Finally, the suspension has been
upgraded to include power rack/pinion steering, hydraulic disc/drum
brakes, coil/leaf suspension and new shocks. This handsome Chevy
Sedan will soon make a new owner very proud. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS
IS".
