This 2nd year production Camaro has been fully restored to competition show car quality. It has received numerous awards from AACA - First Junior, Senior and Presentation Class Ribbons, Grand National Winner and most recently Super Chevy Z-Max in 2009. The Camaro was introduced to be Mustang's nightmare, so various style options, numerous dealer upgrades, and even limited production ARCA street version muscle cars rolled off the production line. This is a fully restored to show room specs. Sea Frost Green Rally Sport/Super Sport with black vinyl top that has been carefully stored and maintained with only 400 miles since rebuild. Super Sport badging on the front grill divides the two RS hidden headlights and is also carried on the rear gas filler cap. The SS "bumble bee" nose racing strip and side arrows are sharp and distinguish it from its standard counterparts and an optional Z28 spoiler completes the exterior. Raising the hood decorated with chrome air intakes is Chevy's 350 CID 5.7L small block V-8 with 4BC producing 295HP. The engine compartment is completely refinished and chrome valve covers and air element cover are just the right touches. A 2-speed Power-Glide automatic transmission that could be shifted manually puts power to the restored factory rear end. The interior starts with high quality black vinyl wrapped bucket and rear seating and wood grain center console with aircraft style shifter. With the elimination of side door air deflectors, Chevy introduced Astro Ventilation to provide the passenger compartment with controllable fresh air flow operated from the center console where an AM/FM Stereo radio is ready to rock. Step around back and note the RS divided tail lights with the backup lights moved to the bumper. Rally wheels with chrome rings and center caps are fitted with redline tires. The construction, fitment and appointments are excellent on this 60's street classic and grab the attention of the most discriminating collector.
