Description

Priced at $46,000.
I am selling my 1933 Chevrolet 4-door sedan, which went thru a complete ground-up fabrication, and includes several late model updates. The work was performed by Russ Tinsley of Russ Rod shop, located in Pickens, SC. Work began with the purchase of a new Fat Man stage III chassis, featuring coil over shocks front and rear, GM disk brakes, Ford rear, 4-bar links, and sway bars front and rear. The drive train consists of a 5.0L Street & Performance equipped V8, a 700R4 automatic with overdrive.
The body was stripped of all wood, and replaced with steel framing. Remote door openers replaced the original door handles, and invisible door hinges were fitted. A 4-piece Rootlieb hood was fitted to cover the engine. Latches have recently been fabricated so that you can cruise with or without the hood side panels. Fenders, running boards, grille shell, and lower rear panel were replaced with fiberglass. The body work was completed with a base coat clear coat finish that has maintained a great presence.
The interior was updated with reclining front bucket seats, and a raised rear bench seat. Seat belts are installed front and rear. Under the rear seat is a Kenwood KAC-745 Power Amplifier with filters for the stereo system. Behind the rear seat is a 10” sub woofer, and a Kenwood 10 disk CD changer. The car has a total of 7 speakers. The overhead console, up front, houses the Kenwood KRC-3006 Stereo Receiver and front dome light. An updated center console was created with fiberglass, and has the controls for the power windows, Vintage air, lights, wipers, 12v auxiliary connection. The row of switches control engine and frame lights, electric fan, and power antenna. To complete the interior modifications are power windows, Hurst floor shifter, cruise control, and Vintage air unit. The interior has been updated with seats covered with green and gray vinyl.
Since buying this car we have enjoyed over 15,000 miles of trouble free driving. During this time, it has been shown multiple times, collecting 63 awards. It has received two Best of Show, 8-1st place, 7-2nd place, and has been featured in newspapers and manufacturer’s product catalogs.
I have owned and driven coupes in the past. But having the additional interior space offered by a sedan is really appreciated while touring with family and friends. Having the space to recline the front seats is often enjoyed by my wife. Our sedan has also provided great transportation for Ice Cream runs with grand children, or chauffeuring them to their Junior or senior proms.
