1989 Chevrolet Corvette A custom Corvette with 600 hp This black beauty gives way to know one On the auction block is a very unique creation coming from an owners private collection The owner wanted to know what it felt like to have 600 horses under the hood without spending 150 K Project started with a 89 Corvette with 103K miles on it The entire engine was gutted and replaced with a raw 350 chevy block The block was sent out and finely machined and balanced at a cost of over 2K The engine bored and stroked to 383 cubic inches The tolerances were set to withstand 8500 RPM but the engine has never been ran past 7000 RPM The DART aluminum heads were custom ported and polished and the flow tested for exact tolerance Victor Jr aluminum intake was also custom ported to match up with the head intakes This process was 3K not including the cost of the heads at 1 5K MSD components were used for the distributor. plug wires. coil. and ignition box Procharger supercharger was added at a cost of 6 5 K The 850 CFM Holly carburetor was installed and it underwent an upgrade to handle the additional horsepower A Corvette ZR1 fuel pump supplies fuel to the adjustable fuel regulator and the pressure can be monitored in the cock pit The suspension was upgraded to an Edelbrock IAS Performer shocks These shocks have a built in valve that opens and closes bases on the type of road you are on This gives a firm but not too harsh ride You get excellent control on the road and it keeps the tires from bouncing while cornering Cowl induction was added to clear the Holly Double Pumper carburetor with a 1 inch spacer to maximize responsiveness to the throttle No Hesitation The scoop is the only clue that there is a little something extra under the hood Since the car is designed for street use the power and torque are available right off the line The clutch is a Centerforce Dual Friction with allow for progressive clamping power. which results in the feel of a normal ride but adds 70 more holding power The engine received a set of Hooker headers connected right to custom exhaust work passing through a set of Flowmaster mufflers This allows for a quiet cruise but a pounding roar when you get on it It is very comfortable going 75 in 6th gear at 1800 RPMs The windows have been tinted to protect the interior The interior is in very good condition The paint is in very good condition it was painted 1 5 years ago The car is always garaged and does not see harsh weather at all Paint is glossy with reflective finish The wheels are 10 months old with new tire purchased for the back for extra traction 275 40ZR17. Rear Goodrich G Force KDW A set of cross bars were added to the rear the keep the tires flat on the road during high speed cornering The AC was removed for additional HP but the heater remains The AC components can be reinstalled if desired The computer was removed but all necessary systems still functional The ABS system was disabled but the brakes work great A UNGO alarm system was added with an external proximity warning and an internal proximity warning no need to put the top on when parked 2 remotes The audio system consists of Sony XPlode head CD Radio unit with Sony Amp for 4 additional Speakers An additional Hifonic amp was added for the JL audio woofers in a custom enclosure 10s The top is removable Power windows. mirrors. wipers. lights. fans. odometer. coolant. and oil pressure all work as designed Additional tach. boost pressure. fuel pressure. and O2 sensor gauges have all been added to the cockpit The car may need to be retuned if your location is significantly different sea level than mine 500 ft The only thing that may need attention in a year or to is some weather stripping but the car does not leak at all The car should not be driven in the rain as it is much too powerful THIS GUY WANTS TO RUN I CALL HIM SAMSON A LADY S NAME DIDN T SEEM TO MATCH Vehicle located in Capistrano Beach.
