1985 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Coupe I bought this car from the original owner who went to Chevrolet and bought a Quadrajet Z 28 He wanted a 350 engine. and Chevrolet offered one if he bought a H O kit for 2600 and a 350 He didn t buy their 350 and failed twice on building his own. so discusted he put the 305 back in an let the car sit 9 years The car had 24000 miles showing I bought the car and he included the H O kit still in boxes The kit has stainless steel shorty headers. dual catalytic converters. 3 cat back exhaust. dual snorkel air breather. bigger metering rods. a special gear for the distributor. bigger computor. shift kit for the transmission. and traction bars He did install IROC Z instuments. 140 mph speedometer. 7K tach. oil. amp. and temp I had a new headliner installed and the a c recharged with R 12 I drove the car to 29000 and put in a new engine I had Yancy. who builds racing engines in our area. balance and build a 350 four bolt main engine with a moderate cam and roller lifters He used heads form a 95 truck non vortec I put an Edlebrock manifold on and used the factory Q jet I also use Mobile 1 synthetic oil Yancy also installed the posi trac 346 rear end I had a transmisson shop put in the shift kit and a muffler shop helped me with the exhaust The tires are Cooper P235 60R 15 on ION wheels with nitrogen I m missing a Z 28 emblem on the right front rocker. the cassette won t play tapes. the rear defroster doesn t work. and the hood is not perfect I took one trip in the car to St LOUIS and got 22 mpg 80 mph on cruise control I also only use premium gas Vehicle located in Smithville.
