One of the most sturdy 4x4 vehicles ever made was this 1969 Land Rover Series IIA that is now available at Gateway Classic Cars. This very clean, restored truck is a throwback to the days when off road meant you needed a durable, go anywhere, do anything, low maintenance vechicle. Often seen in the classic movies, shows and documentaries filmed in Africa, these trucks have blazed trails where no other trucks have yet gone. Powered by a 2.5L 4 cyl diesel, the Series IIA is a torquey little beast that was the orginal beast of burden for those on the far edges of the world. Aluminum bodied to reduce weight, high ground clearance to go where there were no roads and designed with simplicity in mind, this is truly a collectable classic all terrain vehicle! You can even take the top off this one! This one comes with about $16K in receipts. Modern seats from a Land Rover Defender makes it a more comfortable drive.
