The 911 ST was more of an endurance racer. While being produced in the 70s, these ST cars were able to outperform others with more power and sophistication. The lightweight body panels and upgraded engine output alone was enough to compete in these endurance races, but Porsche wanted to go further and upgraded the suspension kits, as well as the brakes. When Porsche entered this car into the 24 Hours of Le Mans, it immediately showed how far they have come from the Original 911.
This 1984 911 ST backdate is fitted with a 3.2-liter flat six, paired with a revised 915 transmission. The car has 112,965 miles on the chassis, but only 200 miles since the build. The engine has been fully restored, and the bolts have been zinc plated as well as the stays for durability. Sport camshafts were installed as well as a sport stainless steel exhaust system to help the car reach the 250hp-260hp range.
